ISU Pulford Insurance Agency

ISU-Pulford Insurance Agency was established in 1973 and has remained a traditional Independent Insurance agency and Brokerage firm, which offers a broad range of insurance policies. 50% of the agency's business is derived from commercial insurance such as workers compensation, general liability, property, inland marine, and farm liability. 45% is derived from the sale of personal insurance such as home and private passenger auto. The remaining 5% of the agency's business consist of life, disability, and both individual and group health insurance.

ISU-Pulford Insurance has direct agency appointments with over 40 preferred property and casualty insurance companies. We represent over 50 life insurance carriers and all health providers in the Central California area. We have insurance license in 50 states and we have affiliations with Lloyds of London and “off shore” reinsurance intermediaries. We typically have binding authority for most risks and can input and issue policies “on line”, which make us fast and efficient.

The company is affiliated with ISU; a large, national, insurance oriented marketing organization. The home office is located in San Francisco. We receive many benefits from these association including national licensing, superior insurance company contract, and the credibility needed to enter markets where size and special expertise is a criteria.

The addition of the ISU connection has now enables us to service our customers as they located plants and operations in all parts of the United States and Internationally. 80% of our customers are residents of Monterey, San Benito, Santa Cruz, Santa Clara, San Francisco, and Fresno counties. The remaining 20% resides in Arizona, Colorado, Washington and Florida.
